How does NEXTSTELLIS work?
The way birth control pills work to prevent pregnancy is two-fold:
1. By stopping the monthly release of an egg by the ovaries, so that there will be no eggs to fertilize.
2. By changing the mucus produced by the cervix, which slows the movement of the sperm through the mucus and the uterus.
